Vitamins are often discussed and recognized, and yet they are one of the most misunderstood elements in society. We know that we have to have them to prevent serious diseases such as scurvy, rickets, beri beri, pellagra, and birth defects among other things. But we don’t seem to see the importance at the same time. We don’t eat balanced diets, even though we know the best sources of vitamins are whole foods rather than the multivitamins we buy at the grocery store.
They should be used to supplement, not make up for a completely deficient diet. They also tend to be packed with fibers in the cases of the right fruits and vegetables as you may know. Essentially speaking, vitamins affect every part of our lives. Everything should be used in moderation considering the fact that you can overdose on vitamins. But at the same point, this should not turn you away from vitamins, you just have to remember to get the right balance, and it’s really hard to do it with just foods anyway. You just have to remember everything, and frankly if you are eating a healthy and balanced diet, you shouldn’t really have to worry about it. You can get rid of acne, raise energy levels, and basically achieve a body you never knew was there if you are eating this way.
